Fly into Da Nang and head straight to Hoi An. It’s awesome. If you want the party zone, head to HCMC. It’s wild and such an interesting city
Vietnam is a pretty big country with a lot of hotels. I’d recommend staying in the North (Hanoi / Old Quarter / Hoan Kiem Lake area)….I’d avoid HCMC it’s a HOT MESS down there. IMO
