Heads up for US citizens who want to go the Bangkok embassy to get an income affidavit. You need to make an appointment online first! I didn't know, found out when I went there this morning. Now I'm stuck in Bangkok until Thursday. Is there anything interesting and/or fun to do here while I wait?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A US citizen discovered that they needed an appointment for getting an income affidavit at the Bangkok embassy, leading them to seek suggestions for activities in the city while they wait. The thread includes various recommendations such as visiting local attractions like Wat Pho, Wat Arun, the Grand Palace, enjoying a river cruise, exploring diverse neighborhoods, visiting floating markets, and relaxing at cafes or bars. Several users also humorously mentioned exploring nightlife, shopping, and enjoying traditional experiences.

Thank you everybody who made helpful suggestions. I'll check some of those out. And, for everybody else, interesting to see how many trolls there are in this group too. Seems to be the way with fb groups these days.

I know of people that just sit and relax in certain 5 star hotels and watch the world pass by, dress nicely and enjoy the scenery in the Oriental Hotel, if you lucky you can watch a Indian or Chinese Marriage.

there are plenty of things to do, one of my favourites is still the riverboat which stops at many places. You can also explore certain areas like Sukhumvit, Khao San, Grand Palace, Pratunam, Siam. Bangkok has also a nice collection of Traditional Thai houses , plenty of temples and markets. But do not overdue it, Bangkok is hot, so take plenty of water with you.
