Not really a visa question but we always stay when we are in Bangkok on Rambuttri lane near the Kho San area. Now we are getting older we’d prefer somewhere else, was thinking maybe Wongwian or Silom. Any ideas please.

Silom will be just hectic like khao san area ONLY more expensive, same as Sukhumvit early soi, Siam. Sathon went there last week not much going on in the evening but you can always take BTS to places. I work near khao san road and just wondering if you try to stay elsewhere further away from khao san but nice and quiet at night ? Perhaps Sam sen road area etc.

On Nut area is nice. Soi 81 has some less expensive places. KV Mansion does monthly rates

Wongwian (Yai) was just ok when I lived in the area (Lived Pinkloa and Bangwa). Since I moved away I understand they've added a couple of trains otherwise it has sucky traffic. Silom has a nice charm.

I think Bangkok is an awesome city and a lot of fun... However, found the lack of Engish to make things more challenging. I now live outside of Pattaya and English is pretty common. Have you thought about other areas outside of Bangkok?

Asia Hotel or Evergreen behind the Asia, super convenient for the BTS. The AsiaHotel u just walk in from the BTS. Great if caught in a heavy downpour, I think it’s a covered walkway
