Here's a "fun" "hypothetical": my organization is hosting a conference. some of the participants still have yet to receive their Thai tourism visa despite submitting weeks ago. If they don't receive the visas by tomorrow they can't join, so for all the good it'll do I'm going to email the embassy asking on behalf of our organization (which is registered in Thailand) requesting urgent approval. Because they have applied for tourist visas I'll mention that they are arriving for group excursions and shopping in the city, as well as to attend a short conference, and that their participation is highly valuable to us.
I guess my question is, should I not even mention the conference, as this might lead the Thai officials to reject the tourist visa application?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether it is appropriate to mention the participants' attendance at a conference in an email to the Thai embassy regarding their pending tourist visas. The comments suggest that mentioning the conference should be avoided, as it may complicate the visa approval process since the visas applied for are tourist visas.
