TLDR : Answer Summary
The community suggests that booking accommodations early for Christmas and New Year in Thailand is advisable due to the overcrowding and rising prices during this peak season. While recommendations for different islands include Koh Samui, Koh Yao Noi, Koh Phayam, Koh Kood, and Koh Tao, there is a consensus that making reservations soon is a prudent choice to ensure a pleasant stay.

Its gets busy book now many different islands to suit many different things.

I like a bit more peace so for me Koh Yao Noi, Koh Phayam Koh Kood but they are more out of the way

Book early; it’s very crowded over Xmas & NYears.
