Hello, following an extension of a NON-O Thai Wife Visa, and doing it with the 400K in a Thai bank for two months or more..

Is there an official list of Thai banks (or details) that are eligibles to fulfill this requirement?

Thank you in advance all

TLDR : Answer Summary
The community mentions that there is no official list of Thai banks eligible for fulfilling the 400K requirement for a NON-O Thai Wife Visa extension. Any bank in Thailand where you can open an account is sufficient. However, be aware of service fees for obtaining bank letters and statements, and note that printed statements may not always be accepted.

Just a minor point there’s normally a service fee Kaisikorn charge me 200 baht for bank letter and 3 months statement. I only say for information as it may seem unusual to pay for your own statements. Oh and don’t do what I tried and print off statements yourself- not accepted.

bangkok bank charges 200 baht for the letter. They give you a years history for free BUT you can only get 6 months at a time and have to order the other 6 months which takes 4 or 5 days to get

There is no list; ANY bank in thailand that you can open an account at is fine.

Hello
@Tod ********
, thank you for your fast answer.

However long story short, I'm holding an UOB Thailand saving account without bookbank (name is "one account"), that's my daily use bank (hold a debit card, can even apply for a credit card). However yesterday officer told me that I must hold an have a bookbank or it will not be accepted. I'm a little anxious now that I would have to transfer this huge amount to another bank account with a bookbank and going through the waiting of minimum 2 months all over again.

@Rodo****
that is not true, I know people that bank at CitiBank here and they don't have bank books. You just need the bank to print a whole year worth of transaction history and the bank letter on the date you apply for the extension

, thank you very much for the information. I will keep it that way and do as told then, just hope I will not have to argue that I'm in my right on the d day.

as I said, you need to get the bank letter AND a year transaction history dated on the date you go apply for the extension (because you have to show the balance of the account on the date you apply) <- which is normally done by just updating the bank book.
