Just applied for DTV e-visa in UK, paid fee and just waiting for approval which should literally be anytime now
However, we’ve just had an issue that is going to delay our arrival in Thailand by 3-4 months
Does anyone know if there is a set period that you have to enter Thailand in once DTV visa has been issued
Done internet research and one person said that there is no time limit on entering, but obviously the visa will only be valid for 5 years from date it was issued
Can’t find anything else regarding this
Any sensible answers welcome

TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV e-visa issued in the UK does not impose a specific time limit for entering Thailand once it is granted. However, it is essential to note that the visa remains valid for 5 years from the issuance date. Thus, while you can enter at any time within that 5-year window, any delay in entry will count against the total duration of your stay, meaning you'd effectively lose that time off the total 5-year period.
It doesn't matter at all. The only thing is that the validity of the visa starts from the issue date, not the first entry date. So you will just "lose" 3-4 month out of your 5-year stay. Anyways, if you're lucky you can get it approved very soon, otherwise it might take 1 month or slightly more to be processed and granted.
I realise that, just didn’t know whether you had to enter Thailand within a set period of issue as you do with tourist visa which I believe is 3 months
