TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement of the TM30 form when extending a 60-day tourist visa in Thailand can vary by immigration office. Some locations like Chiang Mai typically require it, while others like Phuket and Bangkok may not. In southern areas like Phangna and Surathani, it's usually not needed. However, there are exceptions, and it's advisable to check the specific requirements of the immigration office you plan to use, as practices can differ significantly.

What office do you intend to use? We may be able to give you a definitive answer if we know.

From reports I see here a screenshot of a online filing won’t suffice. You have to have that converted to a paper slip (that goes in your passport). Others with direct knowledge of that office may be able to tell you the specific procedure.
When you fill in tm47 it asks for your address in Thailand, I've never been asked for a tm30 extending my tourist visa in phangna or surathani immigration
each office has different requirements. Generally down “south” they don’t require a TM30. Chiang Mai does. Bangkok usually doesn’t but can sometimes ask if you have an extensive entry history and/or Covid extensions.

if you want to chance it..download the form and do as much of it as you can yourself..pull it out if asked..and , at least they will know you have tried..suggest you just play innocent , and only briefly describe the difficulty, and sort of indicate that is not intended to get the landlord in trouble..go gently.

It varies office to office. Some require it every time like Chiang Mai. Some never require like Phuket.
Bangkok almost never requires it, but sometimes asks for it.
