Is the TM30 office open on holidays in Chiang Mai?
Hi. I returned to Thailand today, and I’m planning to go update my TM30 tomorrow... I know it’s a bank holiday but last October, I got fined for not reporting within 24 hours and the officer at the time said the TM30 office at Chiang Mai immigration (right side of the building and up to the 3rd floor) is open every day, including Sunday, 8:30-4:30. Just checking to see if anyone has gone on a holiday to find it closed, etc. thank you!
Answer summary
The user is inquiring whether the TM30 office in Chiang Mai will be open on a bank holiday, as they previously received a fine for not reporting within 24 hours. Several comments clarify that immigration offices are closed on holidays, and advise that reporting the next working day will not result in a fine.

If you visit the Immigration Office on holidays it is closed. Go the next working day and it will be no problem. Good luck.

I was told you can report the next working day and there will be no problem.

And in case you’re still not aware, all Immigration services in Chiang Mai have moved out of Promenada back to the building near the Airport.
