Went in this morning and was told now need Report within 24hrs (used to be able Report within 1-3wks if it’s NOT 1st time!)
If enter on Sat, Sunday or PH, still need Report within 24hrs, the office open on these days for TM30 but need go to 1st floor instead of 3rd floor which for Mon-Friday reporting. Hope this helps

TLDR : Answer Summary
Recent updates on TM30 reporting requirements in Chiang Mai indicate that reports must now be submitted within 24 hours of arrival. This applies even if you arrive on a weekend or public holiday, as the immigration office will be open for TM30 reporting during these times, specifically on the 1st floor of the office. Additionally, visitors' reports must also comply with this new 24-hour rule. For those unable to report in person, sending documents by post from the airport remains an option, assuming the post office is open to stamp it with the current date.
only if the visitor is a foreigner and is staying overnight at your home, means if they leave after a glass of water you do not need to report. Thai people can visit your house without being reported at immigration.
I do NOT believe that they are open on Saturday and Sunday for TM.30 reporting :/ AND if you arrive on a date that the immigration office is closed (weekends or holidays) AND you go the very next day they're opened it's fine.
Can you show me a posting or signage that states the immigration office (or the TM.30 area) is open on Saturday and Sunday?
Tod Daniels : hi Tod, they don’t post anything or signage at CNX Immigration office. But for example today I went in, and a sign shown office closed 4-6 May for King’s Coronation Day. But I walked inside and there are staffs at the front counter update TM30
The same confused thing discussed with friend and get a solution: Prepare papers to be sent by post and send them from airport. Post office will stamp it current date: but I not remember if any post office in CM airport, in both BKK airports post offices open 24 hrs no holidays
Robert Lagas :hi Robert, I’ve checked today when I went for update my TM30, the staffs informed CNX office opening hours for TM30 only on Saturday, Sunday & Public holidays from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
