Went to the website to start the Thai Pass process and got this as a popup. 

tp.consular.go.th  - this is the correct site isn't it?? I got there from a link on the Thai embassy site. 

If that's how secure the site is, what am I letting myself in for by putting all my details in there?

Wish we could go back to the good old days of filling a form in 20 minutes before landing :)

I landed on the same pop-up, I closed the site and opened it again. Alas, I got into the same pop-up. I just thought maybe the site could trace my IP address. My partner might have used my laptop to apply for the same Thai Pass. So I just ignored and closed the pop-up message. Behind is the application page. Took at least 5mins to finish the process. Have to convert PDF files to JPEG. But I got my pass in 2hrs.

Got it all done last night. Don't know who's getting through that lot in five minutes but it took me a good hour - converting PDFs into JPGs is a headache on its own.

It was was approved at 4.35 this morning so 6 hours or so. Quite impressed with that.

At 3.09, before the pass was approved, I got a phishing email asking for all sorts of details. The hackers/spammers seem to have live data, as soon as it goes into the Thai Pass system it goes into the phishing/spamming system.

Bonkers.

Not sure which form. I thought the process was reasonably clear so not confusing around which documents are needed. I found it a bit fussy around formats but nothing overly complicated and it sidetracks and forces you to book the covid tests.

Not a massive job, but definitely not a five minute job for me.

You still get to fill out that stupid little form 20 minutes before landing. Thailand adds paperwork, never reduces paperwork.

It's the correct site. Just assume any Thai website you put your info into will be compromised at some point. It's happened to pretty much every major system from immigration to Thailand Pass over the last 2 years.

Scroll down to the English part. The Thaipass system has been hacked multiple times. Fortunately from what we know, only Emails have been compromised though, no other personal information.
