Is the immigration office in Phuket Town open on December 25th?

If it is a public holiday in Thailand all Immigration Offices are closed. Now we get the question for every individual office. To make it clear: There is NO official holiday in Thailand for Christmas and ALL Immigration offices are open in Thailand.

I don't think it's a totally unreasonable question, especially given the Christmas trees all over the place (including in immigration!) It's a public holiday in many neighboring countries such as Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and Brunei. So most of ASEAN. It's a public holiday in India and Sri Lanka as well. Not here. But hardly a crazy question either, it's a holiday in a lot of places.

Why should they be closed? Immigration offices are all open.
