Hi! I’m currently in Thailand and I see that e-visa application is now available in Malaysia. Has anyone done it for the DTV visa and was the process faster than when applying in the embassy directly? I cannot find the way to take appointment for my application so I wonder if I should go to Malaysia and do the electronic application for there.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the efficiency of applying for a DTV visa through the new e-visa application system now available in Malaysia, comparing it to applying directly at the embassy. Comments suggested that applying at a Thai consulate in Malaysia, specifically in Penang or Kota Bharu, might be more advisable than the embassy. Further inquiries about experiences with the application process in Penang were also made.

Malaysia has one thai embassy and 2 Thai consulates. If you decided to apply there, thai consulates are advisable than embassy. Consulates are in Penang and Kota Bharu.
