I have DTV and was recently offered a local job with short term contract. Is it worth to give up DTV for Non-B?
Answer summary
The discussion centers around the dilemma of whether to give up a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) for a Non-Immigrant B visa to accept a short-term job in Thailand. Comments highlight that working on a DTV is not allowed, making a Non-B visa necessary for legal employment. Some participants suggest considering the pay and future options to revert to the DTV post-contract, while others note the potential challenges in switching back.

Depends how much they're paying you. You can always go back to the DTV after the contract.
Anonymous participant it is probably harder cancelling the DTV than going back to it. Good luck. You can open a bank account on the B and hoping they do not notice if you go back to DTV
That’s a must if you want to work legally. Most employers will refuse to hire you on other visas. Also you won’t be protected if employers abuse the situation, which is quite common.
