I have a DTV visa and a valid work permit from my previous visa, but banks at Central Festival Chiang Mai say it's not possible to open an account with a DTV visa. Who can help with this in Chiang Mai, even for a fee?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing difficulties in opening a bank account in Chiang Mai due to having a DTV visa, despite previously holding a valid work permit. Multiple comments confirm that it is challenging to open a bank account on a DTV visa, as this type of visa is treated more like a tourist visa, rendering the previous work permit void for employment purposes. Suggestions offered include using alternative methods like digital wallets.
You can't have a valid work permit on a DTV... And you can't work in Thailand. Rules for banks are getting stricter everyday and opening an account when under a DTV visa is very difficult.
Your work permit is now void you cannot work on a DTV. Getting a bank account will be very difficult as you are now just a glorified tourist with no real need for a bank account inside Thailand.
