TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a COVID extension in Thailand, the location depends on your visa status prior to entering the country. If you have a visa that was issued before you flew into Thailand or a non-immigrant visa applied after entering, you can go to the Chaengwatthana office. However, if you entered Thailand without a visa from another country, you need to visit the IT Square Laksi Plaza temporary office.
If you applied for any type of visa BEFORE you flew into Thailand and entered Thailand using that visa, or you applied for any non-immigrant visa after you entered Thailand, you will go to Chaengwattana.
If you entered Thailand without purchasing a visa before you left another country, you will go to the temporary office at IT Square Laksi Plaza. (Connected to Lak Si station of SRT Dark Red Line)

thanks, I just read here that you need to do the standard 30 day extension to the visa exempt stamp before being eligible for this? I was hoping to do the covid visa instead of the regular 30 day extension.. but I guess that’s not possible?
Much appreciated , have you heard about anybody recently successfully applying for the covid visa , regardless of being ‘physically ‘ able to fly back to their home country ?
, there have been both. Somebody got his application approved after series of Covid extensions. Someone else got her first Covid extension application denied. There is no concrete condition of approval of Covid extension..
yeh true, was just hoping for any slight info or patterns as to reasons both ways. However it seems fairly random and dependent upon the IO’s mood or quotas they need to fill lol
you are correct, the wording of the covid extension program says people will take "available" extensions BEFORE applying for a covid extension. SO go get your 30 day extension and then go back before the covid program ends on July 25th and apply for it
