TLDR : Answer Summary
The distance to the Full Moon Party is roughly 6.5 km from your accommodation, which is manageable. However, it's advised not to attempt the journey on a scooter due to steep hills and potential safety issues, especially after dark. Alternative transport options include 'songtaews' (shared taxis) running for about 100 baht per person and longtail boats available on the beach. Travelers suggest organizing transport with your accommodation if you're unsure or if you're returning late.

You will be fine, I stayed right in had rinn once and near the Ferry terminal and another near where your staying, they’re should be red tuktuks/taxis just off the beach through the night taking being people back, the cost depended on how many people where on it and where you where going.

Otherwise maybe organise something with your hotel, depending on what time you may be getting back.

And hopefully covid hasn’t changed it up too much.

It took the Apollo program 8 days to get there, so best you get the afterburners fired up.

it's 6.5km and very hilly. Very steep hills. Songtaew or longtail to get you there

My point is that everybody can drive this "Very hilly" concrete road.

because that has worked out so well for inebriated/influenced novices on scooter’s in the dark over the years? Smart

Inebriated/influenced morons are able to smash the bike 10meters after the rental.😁

Very hilly? It's a paved road....20 years ago it was hard to ride with motorbike.

@Ma**
not sure how very hilly is difficult to understand. 15%+ It’s very hilly. And yes- all nicely paved now. Since Covid.

Try road road to bottle or hat Tien.

@Marc ******
who hasn’t… what’s your actual point with that?

the paving hasn’t taken out the massive steep hills. What’s this guy trying to get at 🤦‍♂️ Granted, I was last there in 2012 and yes, the road was mainly paved. But it’s not safe driving after a full moon party on a scooter. I had my only accident in Thailand, pissed drunk on those hills. My friend and I, (a Canadian) decided to throw slices of baloney at each other, while driving up those hills.

yes for sure lol. The hills are definitely still steep and wicked. If the road was mainly paved in 2012, it must have been largely stripped for repair prior to 2020. Not sure why but they have recently completed the repairs and some widening of that road

It's paved sinced 10 years...

no… it’s not. A good portion of that toad was gravel 24 months ago. All new pavement now

Plenty of long tails on the beach too

The songtows will be running people to head rin 100b each

That location is fine

That’s fine. Just don’t attempt it on a scooter as the hills are crazy! There are pick-up trucks that will take you too and from.
