TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether it is currently possible to travel from Phuket to Ko Samui without flying. One comment queries if the person asking entered Thailand via the sandbox scheme, while another shares a flight experience from Phuket to Ko Samui, noting it was straightforward. There are mentions of transportation services, suggesting that travel options might be available, although not directly answering the main question about overland travel.

Hi James the chart does not say what are the requirement for people driving from yellow zone Phuket and who entered Phuket long time ago not in sand box....

All parts of Thailand (except Phuket) is red. If a person spent the night in a red zone, then you are traveling from the red zone.

Right so if you drive straight from Phuket to Samui there is zero requirement such as vaccine or PCR....

I know you're not looking to fly but I did just that yesterday and it was so straightforward. 39 minute flight, out of Samui airport within like, 10 minutes of landing. Mostly the delay was because the baggage conveyor belt got jammed.

did you need a fit to fly or anything? How was it when you landed? Any restrictions or can you just go on your way? Thanks by the way

Enjoy your trip! Looks quiet but beautiful, and sounds like great hotel rates at the moment. Enjoy ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

I just needed the free certificate provided by hotel that I had completed my stay with all my negative tests, (not the 700thb one). They looked at that at check in, and they also gave me a QR Code that I had to scan that takes you to a health form you need to complete before arrival. Filling out that form generates another QR code that they scan.

Boarded off the plane, they scan your QR code after you get off the tarmac, then you're free to get your bags and leave.

Did you enter on the sandbox scheme, and if you, are you finished?
