Is it advisable to book a taxi through 12go for travel in Thailand during Songkran?

I’m travelling from ko lanta to khao sok (ratchaprapha dam) on 11th April and need to be there for 11:30am so it will be an early start. Then khao sok to donsak pier for samui 13th April. 

I can’t find and don’t expect there to be any way of hiring a car with pick up in ko lanta and drop off near donsak, so looking at taxis.

I’ve seen taxis on 12go for 4600 baht for the 11th April trip and 2500 for 13th April. Would you recommend using this site or are there better ways of booking, speaking to the hotel etc?

Might be better to travel day before in Thailand if you have an early time to hit next day. As people say lock in your prices as soon as possible.

Seperate thing Cheow Lan lake is one of my favorite places to explore have seen lots of wildlife over the years there.

This is a great book to read prior to going.

I’m aware it’s that week and have a very basic understanding of it. Are you saying it is best to sort transport in advance as it might be harder to find a taxi nearer the time?

Whatever you do, lock the price with your arrangement. Fuel is increasing day by day here just like the rest of the world. No telling what will happen a month from now.

i think will be hard to find people, this will be the first Songkran in 3 years as previous 2 have been cancelled.

Got nothing to offer i will be keeping off all roads during that period.
