Could you please advice me on the total amount of days I can stay on a visa exempt stamp with 30 days extension. If I apply for the extension prior to the 45 days being up, is the final day used as first day of the extension? I arrive on January 17th.

Also if I book a return flight after 75 days in Thailand will this satisfy emigration? Thank you ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you enter Thailand on a visa-exempt stamp, you typically receive a 30-day allowance. If you apply for a 30-day extension before the initial 30 days are up, the extension will start on the first day after your initial stamp expires. In this case, if you arrive on January 17th and get stamped in for 44 days (counting the day of arrival), and add a 30-day extension, you'll have a total of 74 days in Thailand. Additionally, for your return flight after 75 days, while it may satisfy immigration requirements, ensure your airline does not have strict policies regarding proof of onward travel.

I would say don't cut it that close, you will get stamped in for 44 days when you arrive (the day you stamp in is day ONE no matter what time) and then a 30 day extension is added to that expiration date so really 74 days

Don't be a day counter trying to cut it right to the day, have your onward travel 74 days out

It's NOT immigration that's gonna have the problem it's your air carrier if you're coming in without a visa and without onward travel within the days you'll get stamped in for (45). Some airlines require it some don't. Check with your air carrier
