TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, holding an Ita passport and currently on a 30-day visa exemption, inquires about the possibility of crossing a land border to a neighboring country (Laos) and then returning to Thailand, given that their visa exemption expires soon. A comment confirms that it is possible to leave Thailand, travel to a neighboring country (like Laos, Cambodia, or Malaysia), and return, but notes that some borders may require a one-night stay before re-entering Thailand.

You can indeed go to a land border, stamp out of thailand, stamp in and out of another country and then stamp back in to thailand. The countries with borders open are Lao, Cambodia and Malaysia.

Keep in mind some Cambodian and Malaysian borders want you to stay one night in that country before you come back to thailand.

Good luck, safe travels,
