Will I face issues if my e-Visa is issued while I am already in Thailand on a visa-exempt entry?

I applied for e tourist visa but it wasn’t issued in time so I entered visa exempt. I think the tourist visa will be issued soon while I am in Thailand which isn’t allowed. Will i have any issues using it in the future?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If your e-Visa is issued while you are in Thailand under a visa-exempt entry, you should not face any issues. The e-Visa remains valid for three months from the date it is issued, allowing you to enter Thailand during that period. To use the e-Visa, ensure you print it out and when your visa-exempt stay is ending, exit Thailand briefly to another country and then return, presenting your approval email and e-Visa printout at immigration.

This actually happens quite a lot and you will be fine.. IF you get the eVisa approved, you can still use it (a tourist visa is VALID for 3 months from the date they issue it <- meaning you can ENTER thailand during that period and get stamped in for 60 days)

SO

If you do get the approval email with the PDF eVisa in it, print it out, go to the border when your visa exempt entry is running out stamp out of thailand, stamp in and out of another country and right back into thailand presenting the eVisa print out and your passport when you enter.. You'll get stamped in for 60 days no issues

thanks wanted to make sure they didn’t check the date the visa was issued versus when I was in Thailand

nope, more than a few people didn't get their eVisa approved before they came here and were able to exit/re-enter, presenting that PDF print out and get stamped in no issuew on what ever eVisa they had..

if you get that eVisa approved you can even take the 30 day extension on your current visa exempt entry for 1900baht if you want to, as long as you enter the country before the eVisa expires (even the last day it's valid for) you'll get stamped in for 60 days. Might as well maximize your time here 🙂 If you want to 🙂
