TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a COVID extension after finishing the STV visa and is considering traveling to Singapore to apply for a TR visa to return to Thailand. Commenters caution against making a back-to-back visa run due to the potential risks involved. One suggests seeking a more appropriate visa for a long-term stay in Thailand. Additionally, there are insights about whether the Thai embassy in Singapore issues visas to non-residents, hinting that previously, they primarily issued visas to Singapore residents.

You might also check with the Thai embassy in Singapore if they issue any type of visa to non residents. Before Covid the Thai embassy in Singapore issued visas for Singapore residents only - but not for tourists currently in Singapore.

before Covid chaos, travellers without residency in Singapore could apply for visas including some of Non-immigrant types in Singapore

So other than the countries specified in the website, it is also possible to get SETV in Singapore other than Cambodia?

, yes if you meet all requirements. At least before Covid, people did. You need to check the detail on their website. Or maybe contact them in advance.

Thanks

for clarification. I tried to get a visa at least 3 times between 2015 and 2019 and had always been sent to the embassy in my home country (Europe). But all of these visas were TR (single or multi entry).

, a couple of my friends (means friends in real life) got Non-B, a few got SETV there.

Singapore was one of popular countries to apply SETV or other Non-Imm single in this group before Covid.

is correct in cautioning you about doing a back to back visa run. You are at risk !

You have been in Thailand a long time...9 months on a tourist visa already...the STV is a tourist visa.

Plus added 2+ months on COVID extension.

Suggest you get a correct visa to live and or work in Thailand...

Be prepared and have a Plan B if denied entry into Thailand.

60 DAY EXTENSION OF VISA DUE TO COVID QUESTION

I am from Hong Kong and holding STV visa. I have used 270 days and would like to apply the 60 days of extension. My visa is until 20jan. I tried to call the Thai consulate embassy in Hong Kong. But they said they don’t give embassy letter to prove that I can’t back to Hong Kong or issuing letter saying they don't issue those letters. What can I do?

Appreciate any advice and information on the above.

Thank you
