Is it necessary to file a TM30 if I'm leaving Thailand soon after not being asked for one during my extension?

Just a quick question on TM 30. I flew in so didn't need one as I'm starting with with Thai family. I have supporting docs. When I did an extension I was not asked for one? I'm flying out soon. Is this an issue?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM30 is legally required when using immigration services in Thailand, but it is generally not checked upon departure. Since the user is flying out soon and has not been asked for it during their visa extension process, it is unlikely to pose an issue.

Oh no buddy.. Expect to be arrested at airport... Just kidding. No issue. They won't check if you filed tm30 or not on the way out.

Legally you should have it done but realistically you only need a TM30 when using immigration services so if you're leaving soon, you don't need to worry about it.
