Visa Approved..

In case it helps anyone, here is a timeline and info:

Flew to Phu Quoc, Vietnam (good option as we didnt need a visa), applied online through HCM.

Wed 6 Nov - submitted application for soft category Muay Thai.

Supplied:

-letter from muay thai gym

-their business and managment details

-receipt of payment for 1 month training

-proof of balance and statements

-passport and photo

-Vietnam accommodation booking and receipt (should have added the visa entry stamp to this doc...forgot 🙃)

Fri 8 Nov - Request for docs - 6 months bank statements, and location/visa stamp

Sat 9 Nov - supplied docs

Tues 12 Nov - Approved late at night

Partner applied same date, but for worcation. Supplied a work contract stating remote work, and the required 500k statements.

Was asked for 6 monhts of statements, and a letter explaining the work/role. Approved (same timeline as mine).

Phu Quoc's an easy option while waiting for the visa. Super friendly people, cheap and beautiful beaches 🙏

Thanks for sharing Ellice, can I ask what information needs to be included on the letter from the Muay Thai gym?

Thank you for your reply.

Does the work contract indicate the job responsibilities?

yes, but the responsibilities in this contract were very broad, therefore they asked for a resume and letter to explain the role. So I guess you could attach your resume and a letter explaining what you do.

How come they asked for 3 months bank statements ? I thought that was only workcation option - thought Soft Power option only requires latest balance ??

We also got asked for 6 months of bank statements from HCM. That is definitely a big one with them. We did soft power.

You just need the 500k as the ending balance not for every 6 months of the statements

Congratulations! I want to apply for Muay Thai also. Can you tell me exactly what business details should I ask from the school before purchasing the classes, just to be sure they are approved for DTV?

Thanks!

if the gym is accredited to do DTV packages they should provide all the docs. It's a letter stating your start date, paid amount, business details. They also provided extra documents of owners passport, business registration and management details etc.

What location will you train?

If you're in Bangkok,
