Hi guys, does anyone know the situation in Suvarnabhumi with a reentry permit?

I can fly from Koh Samui to Amsterdam via Bangkok. Transfer in Bangkok, as I understand, only through the transit zone. I don’t remember if it’s possible to get into the block where the reentry permit is made?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the ability to obtain a reentry permit at Suvarnabhumi Airport while transferring from Koh Samui to an international flight to Amsterdam. It clarifies that if you are stamped out in Koh Samui, you cannot get a reentry permit at Suvarnabhumi. Therefore, it is advised to secure the permit before leaving Thailand or visit the immigration office at Koh Samui beforehand.

Maybe go to Samui a day or so early and go to the immigration office there BEFORE you fly out.

That could work

Immigration would be open "a day or so early" (assuming it's not a holiday or a weekend). If it works for the OP, he can get the re-entry permit.

I don't think you can get one

The re-entry permit counter is in International DEPARTURE #2 after security screening.

Get one from the immigration office in the area where you're at, (if your extension isn't from that office they might require proof you're leaving)

easy now with your comments, I asked you a question. DID you fly in to Suvarnabhumi on a domestic flight since this covid shit show started and were transiting to an international fight AND buy a re-entry permit?

It's a simple question so answer it

If you're stamped out in Samui it's too late

I do not know how your flight is arranged, or where you will be (legally) departing Thailand. IF you depart Thailand (as in, stamped out) in Samui, you can not get an re-entry permit at Suvarnabhumi. IF you are stamped out at Suvarnabhumi, then you can get a re-entry permit.

I'd save the stress and get a re-entry permit before you leave.

Here's the contact information for Surat Thani. I believe all immigration offices there will sell re-entry permits, and you can use any immigration office.

I'd weigh in and say NOPE you're not gonna be able to do it when you're transiting in the airport.

Sadly, the fact you did it before this covid shit show doesn't mean you can do it now 🙁

What island are you on now?
