I've got married, opened my Thai bank account and have been told by immigration to deposit 400,000 Thb prior to applying for my 90 day Non-O based on marriage. I can transfer the money online which won't show in my book as being sent from abroad. Not a problem for the 90 day Visa application I believe. As I intend to leave the 400,000 untouched, and therefore seasoned for 2 months when I apply for my first 1 year extension, will this be acceptable or do I need to show 400,000 sent from abroad? Thank you.
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user questions if they need to show that the 400,000 THB required for their 90-day Non-O visa application was transferred from abroad. Several comments clarify that there is no requirement for the funds to be from an international transfer for the visa application or the subsequent one-year extension based on marriage to a Thai citizen. It's advised to check with local immigration offices for specific requirements.
