ORIGINAL POSTER
Financial evidence in Berlin for DTV for medical reasons.

I have more than the required 500,000 THB = 13,000 EUR in stocks, but not as bank balance. Is financial evidence in stocks accepted? I can provide this for current and last 3 months, or even longer if necessary. If only bank balance is accepted, is current sufficient or 3 months back?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original question concerns whether financial evidence in the form of stocks can be accepted for a DTV (Dependent Visa) application in Berlin for medical reasons, particularly when the 500,000 THB requirement can be met through stocks, not just bank balance. Responses indicate a strong preference for bank statements, suggesting that embassies typically do not accept stocks as valid financial proof, with a 3 to 6 month bank balance history being recommended instead. Additional comments suggest that while some may have had success with smaller liquid funds, the general consensus leans towards the necessity of having the funds clearly displayed in a bank account for visa purposes.

I had to put the 13K - like no real entrepreneur would do - in my bank account 😉 thats how you show that you can borow enough money from Boomer relatives that put high sums in bank accounts 😌

Head to Hanoi Vietnam and you can probably get approved with the 500k bank balance deposited the same month.

No acceptable from any embassy that I have seen. Hell some don't even accept cash if not in registered bank

No stocks, bank only, 3 month as minimum, 6 months better depending of the embassy. ( you can add stocks portfolio to make your case stronger ).

You still may be lucky with less, but you may lose the fee.
