TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among commenters suggests that a one-month Muay Thai course is generally viewed as insufficient for obtaining a DTV visa. Most users recommend a minimum course length of six months to increase the chances of visa approval, as recent trends indicate that many applications with shorter durations have been denied or issued a single entry tourist visa instead. Some anecdotal evidence exists of individuals getting approved with one-month training, but it heavily depends on the embassy and the applicant's nationality.

A year ago it was enough, but with all the abuse they now want to see at least six+ months.

Not likely to get the 5 year DTV visa with One month of Muay Thai training... don't waste your 10,000 Thai baht application fee..

AND we are seeing Thai Embassies and Consulates issuing a SETV single entry tourist visa instead of the DTV visa as your Muay Thai training is only one month.

In general, 6 mos is seen by most to be the minimum program length to get approved. It seems, even though I have not read in this group but others have, some have gotten approved with one month. So I guess the questions you have to ask yourself are: Do I go try to get by with a one month course and increase my chance of getting rejected (and losing my application fee) or do I go with what is generally seen as the minimum course length and increase my chances of getting approved?

As the Thai ladies like to say, "Up to you."

Yes it’s just confusing some people say 1 month and they got it some say it’s impossible :) I think length shouldn’t matter you just buy your classes every month

It’s definitely still possible, people have posted about getting approved with one month packages fairly recently. But it depends largely on your nationality and where you apply.

Recent reports are either DENIED DTV visa or instead the issue of the SETV single entry tourist visa

That's very risky. Almost everyone here is going for 6 months and more. You'll probably get denied or a METV at very best.

Depends largely on the embassy but quite a few applicants were given short term tourist visas with 1 month duration programs.

Safe: 6 months

Safest: 12 months

Check trends at embassy you are selecting.
