G'day, looking to apply for the Non-Immigrant O Visa soon. Would anyone know where I could get proof of retirement issued by the applicant's (Australian) Embassy/Consulate? Have spent a long time looking on the Aussie Embassy website without luck :(

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking information on where to obtain proof of retirement from the Australian Embassy for applying for a Non-Immigrant O Visa in Thailand. Community members clarify that the Australian Embassy no longer issues proof of retirement documentation and emphasize that applicants over 50 years old must provide proof of income instead. They suggest transferring a minimum of 65,000 baht monthly into a Thai bank account. The conversation also highlights varying requirements based on different immigration offices.

This is my third visit to Nakhon Phanom to try and find a solution

I am having the same problem as Bunja. The Nakhon Phanom Office requires a CERTIFICATE OF RETIREMENT from The Aus Embassy. I provided them with my Centrelink Statement but this was not accepted. The Thai Immigration Office wanted a Certificate of Retirement fro The Aus Embassy. The Aus Embassy has sent me back to The Nakhon Phanom Immigration Office to get clarification as to the documents I need

yes it is Very imformative . the guy wants to know what document from his

government he has to supply to prove he is retired . the precise answer to that is " no docume t !!!!

only have to be over 50 years " . the other documents you have to show to the thai immigration are no proof of retirement . the required documents may vary depemfi g o where you tegister . so I'm sure you're ready to give the guy the list if docs in every immigration office in the country .

You don't need proof of retirement. Immigration are looking for proof of income. The only way for an Aussie to do this is to transfer 65,000 baht per calendar month from overseas into a Thai bank account. You need minimum 12 of these transfers to qualify for the non-O (over 50) visa.

I don't believe you can get the initial in country Non-O using this method. It's 800k or nothing for Australians

You can if you're extending the non-O obtained in Australia, but not if you're converting from visa exempt or tourist visa. And you still need to show 12 x 65k transfers

Letter confirming your pension entitlement should do.

@Ben *****
Sadly that won't do. It's either 800,000 baht lump sum, or 65,000 baht per month for twelve months

Australia embassy does not issue proof of income affidavit for over 5 years now.
