If I leave Thailand to visit Laos, will I retain unused days from my Visa Exempt entry?

Good morning

I intend visiting Thailand in January using Visa Exempt 60 day entry. I then intend visiting Laos also in January, when re-entering Thailand would I still have the days left of the original entry unused?

Or would an EVisa be a better option.

Thanks for any help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user plans to visit Thailand on a 60-day Visa Exempt entry in January, then travel to Laos, and is inquiring if they retain any unused days upon re-entering Thailand. Comments clarify that leaving Thailand nullifies any unused days from the original entry, meaning a new entry stamp is needed upon re-entry, thus starting with a fresh 60-day period.

If you enter Thailand on 60 days visa exemption and stay only few days and didn't make any extension then after going to Laos and reentering Thailand there will be no problem for you

Once you leave the stamp is null and void ..

You have exited the Kingdom,.left the country

Need to get a new stamp to re-enter

Nope you would not ๐Ÿ™

No one ever has "days left" on a visa exempt entry stamp once they leave the country.

When you stamp out on a 60 day visa exempt entry stamp that's it.

If you re-enter the country again you'd get a completely new entry stamp

You should be okay coming back in on a new 60 day visa exempt entry stamp
