How should I correctly enter my Russian passport number in the system?

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask about the Russian passport number. I entered the passport number as 51N763XXXX, but the system says the passport number is incorrect, without any explanation.

For those who have the same nationality as me or know about this and have already received Approved status, could you please share how you filled in the passport number or how you solved this issue?

Thank you very much in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is experiencing an issue with entering their Russian passport number in a system, which returns an error stating the number is incorrect. Seeking assistance from other users who might share similar experiences, the comments clarify that the 'N' may not be part of the actual passport number. Suggestions include entering only the numeric part or referencing the MRZ section of the passport for accurate details.

This is one of the “old” Russian passports, doesn’t have biometrics. You need one with biometrics, but if you go back to Russia to get one, they will probably enlist you and send you to the frontline

It's not N. It's № / Nº which is NUMERO SYMBOL therefore you passport number starts from 7. French use that symbol too.

P.S. You are from Murmask Oblast = 51

Does the bottom of the page have an MRZ section with name and passport number in an official format?

The "N" after 51 isn't part of the passport number. My guess is it's either

XXXXX or just 763XXXX but you'd better ask a fellow Russian or an official from your country.
