How quickly can a non-O retirement visa be approved at the Thai embassy in Los Angeles?
Either the visa approval staff at the embassy in Los Angeles are bored, or they liked me, but my non-O retirement visa was approved in less than 24 hours! A big thank you to everyone for all the insights and advice in getting to this point! I am sure I will have questions when I arrive, but, thanks to you all, I have a plan from the minute I land to when I open my bank account! Thank you all again!

Hi Julie, I’m Thai living in LA too. I figured you’ll be heading out soon. I’m planning to move back eventually as well. Having dual citizenship makes it easier for me since some of my family are still there. Wishing you all the best and enjoy this new chapter!

Julie Loving Keep in touch 😊 Where are you thinking of living? I’ll definitely be in Bangkok. Pattaya would just be quick trips to visit friends. It may still be a couple years for me, but I usually go back and forth between Thailand and LA.

My 800k will be in my capital one account in next day or 2. Closing balance of 27 k US for June July August. Ok even though money will be in for 25 days this month ? Hope to apply non O early September

Good luck to you! I hope everything for the next 3 months goes as smoothly as that! Will be going through the same process in a couple of years (of course, this is Thailand, so it will probably change - no worries, will just roll with the changes!)
