How much freelance experience did you have when you obtained the DTV (Destination Thailand Visa)?

I'm working full-time until this month and need to start building up my freelance experience from December. I'm considering applying for the DTV after accumulating a certain amount of experience, and any information you have would be very helpful."

Answer summary

The conversation centers around the requirements for obtaining a Destination Thailand Visa (DTV), particularly the need for freelance experience. One commenter indicates that it is sufficient to show that you work remotely for a non-Thai firm, without specifying a minimum amount of freelance experience needed. Another commenter shares their personal experience, noting that they had none and still successfully applied for the DTV after booking a language course.

You need to show you work remotely for a non-Thai firm. it does not matter how much experience you have or if you are a permanent employee, freelancer or self employed.
