TLDR : Answer Summary
Filipinos do not qualify for a Visa on Arrival in Thailand; instead, they are eligible for a visa exemption that allows a 30-day stay, which can be extended only once for an additional 30 days.

Citizens of the Philippines do not qualify for Visa on Arrival.

They qualify for visa exempt which lets them be stamped in for 30 days, which can be extended ONE time for another 30 days.

*This may change to 45+30 starting October 1st.

the last day to apply for Covid extension is August 24th if they don't renew it.

It's an option, but I think they might require a letter from the Philippines embassy and they usually start the extension the day of application if they approve, meaning you lose any days left on the current stamp.
