TLDR : Answer Summary
A US citizen can initially enter Thailand with a 30-day visa exemption. After utilizing this exemption, they can apply for a single 30-day extension by paying the 1,900 Baht fee at the immigration office. However, after this extension, they must leave the country to obtain another 30-day visa exemption. It is important to note that a border run can be performed to get a new stamp, but this can only be done twice a calendar year.
You can do a border run, stamp out, stamp in/out other country than back into Thailand to get a new 30 day Visa Exempt entry, bu be aware you can only do this twice a calendar year, or visit a neighbor country to get a Visa at Thai Consulate or Embassy.
We say so many times, always check your stamps on retrieving your passport. You got an Extension of Stay at Udon Immigration, so now you have to leave the country and come back with or a Visa Exempt Entry or with a Visa.
thats was the last entry i got it was stamped on a departure card? thought odd not on passport..i applied for new stamp in Ubon fine no word said, i was just going to do again u till i get something said
If you already have 2 Visa Exempt Entries from a land border in the calendar year they normally don't stamp you out, and advice you to organize or a flight out the country or a visit to Consulate/Embassy.
I understand you came into Thailand and got the 30 day Visa Exempt Entry, than applied for the 30 day Extension of Stay at Immigration office. You can only Extend an entry once.
