I am a USA citizen, I came with 30 allowed, I renewed for 30 days, Am I allowed to renew again at immigration? Is there a limit to the amount of crossings if you fly in. Do they make medical exemptions.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A USA citizen who initially entered Thailand on a 30-day visa and renewed it for an additional 30 days cannot renew it again at immigration without leaving the country. While it's possible to request another 30-day extension, it's likely to be denied, allowing only seven days to exit the country. Additionally, there is no official limit on the number of times one can cross the border by air, but it is subject to the discretion of the immigration officer. If someone has valid medical reasons preventing them from flying, it's advised to consult with a doctor about the possibility of obtaining an unlimited extension based on medical grounds.

, you're not the first foreigner to ask this question and your post might help some one else who wonders if they can get more than one 30 day extension per entry

Thanks for making your own post. So everyone can see my response:

1. No, you have to do another border bounce. You *MAY* be able to request another 30 day extension, however you will be denied and have 7 days to leave.

2. You are allowed "unlimited" exempts by air. "Unlimited" is defined by the immigration officer. Once you reached his or her limit, you'll be rejected.

3. If you are NOT on overstay right now, AND you are advised not to fly, talk to your doctor about getting an extension of stay baed on medical purposes. That extension I believe is unlimited in the length of time

I agree, buy would those people be able to go to an immigration office with a doctor's letter anyway.

I think medical exemptions are for people not able to leave the hospital
