Hi, I went to the immigration office in Bangkok to extend my stay for another 30 days to finish my internship. I have a Non-B visa, and they told me I need to bring a "certificate and request for extension of stay from the embassy". I spoke with the embassy, and they said they don't issue that and no one has ever asked them for it. Did anyone encounter this or know what to do?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking help after being informed at the Bangkok immigration office that they need a 'certificate and request for extension of stay from the embassy' to extend their Non-B visa. However, the embassy states they do not issue such certificates. A comment indicates that extensions for Non-B visas, especially for internships, are generally not possible, suggesting that the user may need to leave Thailand and apply for a new visa.
There's no such thing as a 30 day extension on a non-B visa. Your only option is a 1-year extension based on work if you have a non-B visa. People on internships generally cannot get extensions and have to leave Thailand to get a new visa.
