How long does it typically take to receive a DTV visa from the Thai embassy in Cambodia, and should I follow up on my application?

Hi everyone

I have applied my DTV visa in Cambodia on the first week of October and still haven’t gotten the result yet. It’s been five weeks and I’m a bit worried that it might take longer due to the current situation between the two country. Should I send a follow up email to the Thailand embassy for a follow up? I’m afraid I’m might get rejected after a long wait.

Try email be polite but mention you really are keen to be in Thailand rather than Cambodia but you are following the rules by still being in Cambodia and awaiting your decision..

Something like that

I got mine in Phnom Penh. Took a little over a month. I was actually flying out of there giving up and the same day I was flying out they approved me. Just be patient or like Andi said, shoot them an email.

Yeah send a follow up email. Someone did similar last week and approved soon after. 4-6 weeks is norm in Cambodia. No requests for paperwork is a positive sign.
