Hi can anyone help. I am currently on a Non-immigrant O Visa issued from UK Thai Embassy. I am applying to change to a 1 year Married Visa. TM7 Form attached is part of the application. The section at the bottom asks...." I hereby apply for extension period of temporary stay in the Kingdom for.........days"

Question - is 90 or 365 days I enter here, assume it's 90?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is applying to change their Non-immigrant O Visa to a one-year Married Visa in Thailand and seeks clarification on how many days to enter on the TM7 form for their extension application. Community responses indicate that because the extension is based on marriage, they should enter 365 days, as it is a yearly extension. They are also advised to keep the reason for extension concise.

David - is it a 90 day Non O? I could not apply for a marriage visa when I was still in UK - so despite being married to a Thai I had to apply for a 90 day Non O Retirement and when I came to extend to 1 year they would only let me extend on a Non O Retirement - citing that your first extension has to be of your original extension.m - you can only change after the first year which is my intention. I will no doubt be corrected but that was what the Immigration Officer told my wife in June. I would be keen to know how you get on.

, That's correct, you have to apply for an extension for the same reason as your entry/initial stamp. You can change the reason for a 1-year extension when you already on 1-year extension.

Final question - how many copies of everything do the Immigration need for the application?
Tod *********
@David *******
usually two of the TM7 application, passport copies, marriage certificates, TM30, thai wife's stuff etc (don't usually need 2 sets of photos though)

And use BLUE ink for your signatures and filling out the forms (if you hand write them) can't use black pen

this is the list of "usual requirements" for an extension based on married to a thai national,

it is generic <-as in not office specific :O so your office may or may not follow it

If your Non-O visa states the reason it was issued then your first extension must be for the same reason. You put 365 days
Graham ******
I assume your Non-O is a marriage visa because if it was not issued for marriage you cannot get the first 12 month Extension of Stay based on a different reason to the initial Non-O.

It’s a yearly extension so 365 days
Ellie *******
You are going to apply for a 1-year extension based on marriage to a Thai. So put 365 (days). or less.
