Can anyone who got approved in HCM share how many days passed between their "Pending Approval" and the "Approved"? I'm getting antsy. Thank you!!
Summary so far
The discussion revolves around the timing and uncertainty of visa approvals in HCM, specifically the duration between the 'Pending Approval' and 'Approved' stages. Many commenters express impatience and share personal experiences, but there is widespread confusion and speculation regarding the implementation of new visa regulations and their effect on processing times.

For comparison, back in 2024, around the month of May, the cabinet had officially approved the visa scheme 30 days got upgraded to 60 days. But it was not until November (or December 2024) that the first batch of tourists received the very first stamp of 60 days.
I cant speak for sure EXACTLY when is the actual implementation of first stamp 30-day, but know this that most of world governments work at snail pace just to make something happen.
You can think of them as movie-maker. Even after all superhyped press-confrences, introduction of castings, and release of first teaser, it still would take months for viewers to actually watch the movies they were promised couple years ago. Some even took a decade as such Avatar franchise.
Trust me, if Thailand government works lightning fast to implement their very own decisions, Thailand would have been part of first world country.
Craig Fox Myself also, I stayed on my TDAC that my intention was to leave after 28 days with proof of onward ticket but now I'm here and hotel rates are so good I will take the whole 60 and go for a 30 day extension, on approval it will total 190 days in the preceding 12 months
Craig Fox When they asked you at the immigration/entry about "how long you staying here" (Suva airport?")- did you say 30 or 60 days? Or 30 and they gave you 60 days?
I/e is it risky to assume its 60 days since the "removal" is in the news everywhere?
A few days ago the my said the cabinet was still finetuning the new regulations. We will see when its published in the Royal Gazette. Its just not top priority now that the King's daughter passed away.
Luc De Clerck they said it was going to be put in place two months before the Princess passed. I’m not sure the royal highnesses passing has had any effect on the time schedule.
The 30-day rule takes effect 15 days after publication in the Royal Gazette. If you’re unsure about the timing, the safest option is to apply for a 60-day tourist visa.
