How long does it typically take to renew a UK passport at the Visa Application Centre in Thailand?
Any Brits here who have recently renewed their passport at UK Visa Application Centre? How long did it take for you to get your new passport?

Responses mostly indicate a turnaround time of around 10 to 12 days, although some experiences vary, with one noted case stating it took up to 8 weeks. I got my new passport there back in 2013 and it took 8 weeks. Maybe they have a new system now so they can turn it around quicker.

Turned mine around in 7 days from Bangkok... Couldn't believe it after the 3 month wait a couple of years prior. (Due to a backlog and staff cuts, change of office, summer holidays etc etc)

OPAll of these 10 days noises make me very happy.

It takes about 10 days, although they recommend allowing 3 weeks. In the summer there can be a backlog.

OPThanks Henry! That made my heart rate settle a bit :) Will allow 4 weeks to be on the safe side.
