I'm a UK passport holder living in Thailand, I need to renew my passport soon. Anyone renew recently, how long did it take, either applying in Thailand or UK.
Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The process of renewing a UK passport while living in Thailand varies in time depending on the service used. Experiences shared by community members suggest that renewal could take anywhere from 3 weeks to 12 weeks when done through the embassy or official services. Some recommend using agencies like VFS in Bangkok or local services such as Easy Visa in Chonburi for assistance. The FastTrack service in the UK reportedly can expedite the process to as little as 24 hours.
It's very easy to do yourself. Use the official passport agency in soi 13 Bangkok (VFS). Everything is explained online. Download the forms, email them for an appointment, go submit your documents in person and pick it up about 10 weeks later when they tell you it's ready. The VFS people are very friendly polite and helpful.
