Can anyone share how long did it take to get DTV visa as workation (freelancer) in HCMC? It takes quite longer than I thought...

Applied on August 11th at 2:00am

Turned out to be pending approval on August 13th

Still so far nothing has changed.

I already know that August 11th and 12th were Thai national holidays and they don't work on weekends, but still almost 7 business days have been passed while on HCMC official consulate website says general processing time is 4~6 days. Trying to be patient but the fact that I even needed to cancel my flight ticket that supposed to leave two days ago just makes me frustrated..

Answer summary

The user is seeking information about the processing time for a DTV visa for freelancers in Ho Chi Minh City, as they have been waiting since August 11th without updates. They express frustration with the process despite being aware of holidays affecting timelines. Comments from others indicate that a wait of 7-10 business days is typical and advise patience.

7-10 business days is normal. Enjoy Vietnam while you wait..

This is only the 6th business day as the day of submission doesn't count. They also probably have a backlog from the holiday. Relax and enjoy your time their
