Hi, has anyone applied for the Thailand new DTV visa and received it? How many days did it take to get the application approved ?

I know the process and the time required for approval, but unfortunately, it's taking longer than I expected. I was just wondering if anyone has already been approved, and how long it took from the day the application was submitted to receiving approval.

Thank you .

TLDR : Answer Summary
The community shared various experiences regarding the approval timeline for the new Thailand DTV visa. There's a significant variability in processing times as individual circumstances differ widely, with reports ranging from a few days to potentially longer due to differing embassy procedures and document completeness. One commenter noted an approval in just 2 days after the application was submitted, while another mentioned a pickup timeline of 6 days, emphasizing that these experiences can vary greatly.

Hundreds of people have posted about already receiving this visa. For me, it took 6 days, because that is what is stated on the pick up receipt. However, the visa itself shows it was approved 2 days after I applied.

nope, in person. But if you apply online, you are still applying vis the embassy in the country you are located, so online/in person will be the same

Massive amounts of people are applying for this visa everyday, all around the world, and most of them get it approved. The processing time is different for each person, even when using the same embassy, and whether it was an online or offline application (you can't choose, it depends on the location).

One of the most common causes for rejection is that you willingly or unwillingly lie about your current location, or that your support documents are incomplete or wrong. For incomplete documents, they might ask you to send more/corrected documents, while if they determine you lied about your location, normally they just reject ir straightforwardly.

Anyone else's answer is irrelevant. There is no set time. Each individual embassy is different, and each individual application is different.

Unless someone applied at the same exact embassy as you, with the same exact supporting documents, their situation is not the same as yours.
