Hey quick question...

For the last two years i had an ED visa(Hand To Hand Combat CM). I wanted to do another year but the school told me that i have to get out of Thailand for minimum 3 months and only then i can apply for another year with an ED visa.

My question is how many months you reckon i need to wait before i can come to Thailand "Safely" ? Is 3 months enough or should i wait more ?

I'm planning to come back with a SETV visa and after that reapply for an ED visa..

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the recommended waiting time before returning to Thailand after holding an ED visa for two years for hand-to-hand combat. They mention needing a minimum of three months outside Thailand before reapplying for an ED visa. Community comments offer mixed advice, including suggestions about different visa options, potential passport implications, and doubts about the possibility of returning successfully after the mandated waiting period.

You're on your own with that question. The people that will know would be the school that let you get an ED visa for two years for hand to hand combat..

No one on this group will have the answer.

Roma.... are you a Russian passport holder?

any suggestions for Roma ?

The Ministry of Education can also link both passport together. If you want to change passport than you need to fly out as Israeli, come back as Russian. For Russian it is easy to border bounce every month.... until you can apply for a more suitable visa.

I have heard that if u have a fresh passport, no one will know your previous travel history. sounds crazy but thats what the woman at Hand2Hand told me the other day.

yep...that day is coming.

that is what I suggested. But there also have been recent reports of denied entry at some land border crossings..

Choose wisely.

Your history shows up on the immigration computer, its all linked now. The days of using fresh passports to cover your past in Thailand is over.

For the moment it will, that will change in the near future though. Having the visa is No guarantee that you will be allowed in to the Kingdom. The IO has the final say. The IO has access to all previous entries in to Thailand. But who knows, could get lucky. Time to consider a more appropriate visa perhaps.

But it helps at the Thai Consulate when applying for the visa, doesn't it James?

Lj Esquire the new passport trick will NOT FOOL a Thai Immigration Officer upon your arrival to enter Thailand. His entire history appears on the computer screen linking old and new passports. Along with the new facial recognition software and fingerprints...he will be known... Nice try though😉

Lj Esquire yep. It's crazy and grade a bs

I would be greatly surprised if you can pull this off. Good Luck.

I really do not know the magical number. What I read and hear is that with your history, you are living in Thailand.

I dont think yiu will get any visa in SE Asia Thai Consulates. Must try in your home country. And when you arrive to reenter Thailand ..its totally up to the Immigration Officer to admit you or not.

If you do get a Tourist Visa from your home country, I would suggest you not fly into Thailand. Carefully select a land border crossing to enter.

Thanks!

Why you don't apply for a student visa and learn Thai? You can do that for 2 years. I have done the same.
