I've almost used up my 2 year ed visa. If I apply for a combat visa will I potentially be denied as I've been here 2 years already? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about applying for a combat visa after having utilized a 2-year ED visa in Thailand. Responses indicate that while it's possible to be denied a new visa, switching studies might allow for another ED visa, particularly if enrolling in a new educational institution. Some users share experiences of successfully obtaining new visas under similar circumstances, though caution is advised due to immigration regulations.

Your profile says you work at a school, could they not give you the paperwork for a Non B and work permit ?
I appreciate all the responses. Thanks everyone =)

Okay, keep in mind there are limits as far as how long you can be on an ED visa for studying specific things.
Just because you were here on an ED visa studying one subject is not a reason to be denied another ED visa when you switch to study something else.
There is no rule that limits that. You should be able to enroll in a personal defense or muay thai school, get the paperwork, leave the country and get a new 90 day single entry ED visa without a problem.
