TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the impact of an 'application for extension not approved' stamp (referred to as an emergency 7-day visa) versus an overstay stamp on future entries to Thailand. There are differing opinions, with one commenter suggesting that having the 7-day stamp is preferable as it indicates compliance with regulations, while others caution that future entry issues may depend on factors like entry history and the discretion of immigration officers.

You have two choices; you overstay and pay the fine when you exit OR you get that 7 day stamp to get out of thailand.

NO ONE on the group can tell you if you'll have issues getting in when you come back, that's based on point of entry, previous entry/stay history, and sometimes the person you get at passport control

It is for YOU to decide what to do, and asking this group what is best for you is just not the way to go about it.

Good luck with it, safe travels (y)

It's not an emergency 7 day visa, it's an 'application for extension not approved' stamp that gives you a week to get out of the country.

It's my personal opinion that it's FAR better to have that 7 day stamp rather than an overstay stamp because it shows you at least followed the rules and got that stamp to be IN thailand until you exit rather than just overstay πŸ˜•
