How does a change of reason for an O-A visa affect the 90-day reporting process in Thailand?

Hi all.

O-A visa based on retirement, just did our second extension. My wife changed from following to independent so her's is considered change of reason.

We checked our stamp dates before we left, all good.

Forgot to check with them regarding her 90 day report, my PP has the little piece of paper in it (next 90 day report due...), hers does not.

In this scenario would her 90 days be reset (or completed) like mine was?

I'm not sure if I have verbiage or process right, please correct me if I don't.

Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the implications of a change in visa status for an O-A retirement visa holder regarding the 90-day reporting requirement in Thailand. The original poster is uncertain about their wife's reporting deadline after her visa reason change from dependent to independent status. The comments provide updates: the wife has completed her 90-day report in person, highlighting that her previous report was not completed due to the extension process, as well as challenges faced with online submission. Community advice emphasizes following the paper notice in the passport for reporting dates.

Update for anyone interested.

Wife's 90 report was done in person today which means it was not done when the extension was processed. I suspect that was due to the change of reason in the extension.

Only took an hour and a couple photo copies, better than a 2,000 THB fine.

90 day reporting is usually based on the entry date. Sometimes, an Immigration Office might reset it with an extension application etc. (and give you a new 90 report form) but always assume it's from your entry date to avoid the 2000B fine.

Understood, thanks
@Gra***
. Up to this point our 90 day reporting has been reset with our extensions.

I agree it's best to assume it needs to be done.

Change of reason on my wife's extension so needed to do this one in person.

, the best is always to check with your local immigration office.

Apologies Todd, I neglected to mention that yesterday we submitted a 90 day report online in accordance with the previous receipt. Received notification today that is was rejected, verbiage in the rejection email is - "This online application can be submitted 15 days in advance until the due date of notification."

@Brent ******
what that really means is you can file ONLINE from 2 WEEKS before (western count it's 2 weeks exact to the day it's due) down until the due date..

then whose ever report that was still NEEDS to file a 90 day report IN person, (or if it's still not the due date yet file again online)

if it goes over 7 days past the due date you will pull a 2000baht fine when you go file in person.

you follow the piece of paper in your passport and I'd say IF your wife has a previous 90 day report receipt she should follow that, OR if she doesn't she should go when you go to file..

Worst case you go back to the office and ask them when your wife's 90 day report would be due.., Usually on reason changes I thought they gave you a new paper telling you when the new 90 day report date is, but I'm sorry I'm not sure about that
