TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers with dual nationality can exit the UK using their British passport and enter Thailand with their Thai passport without needing to complete the TDAC digital form. It's important to book flight tickets under the name matching the passport used for entry to avoid issues. After exiting the UK, travelers can switch to their Thai passport mid-air, and upon arrival in Thailand, they should use the Thai immigration line. However, airlines may inquire about the TDAC form, so be prepared to clarify your situation as necessary.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

because I bought our flight using English passport so my ticket is matched with my name. Also I've just had my Thai passport issued from the Thai embassy in London after I bought the tickets

Only issue may be the airline asking if you have completed the tdac

they can ask, a few days ago when departing Qatar when returning to Thailand they asked me to show them the TDAC was completed, I informed them I don’t need to register it prior to checkin, no issue with that.

Also the poster can simply show the second passport confirming TDAC not needed in their instance, I travel on two passports and I’ve been asked a couple times to show my visa for the arriving country which may be on that second PP, shouldn’t be an issue

Yep, you go out using the UK then mid air change over to Thai passport. Both passports will be linked as a dual national. Straight through the Thai line at BKK though most are mixed now anyway I find.

They let me go through the Thai line because I was with my Thai wife.

If the name is different, book the ticket in the Thai passport name or you may have problems using the Thai passport to enter

My wife’s U.S. Passport has my surname and her Thai passport has her Thai maiden name. She just books her ticket in her married name and takes a copy of her U.S. marriage license with her if there is any question on the different last names.

that's exactly the same as me. Flying from UK in 2 weeks. I won't do the TDAC but my husband will. Let's see if it works with online check-in without TDAC. Flying with EVA air

If you're entering Thailand with a Thai passport you do not need to do a TDAC.

if a dual national uses the UK passport to book the ticket they could have problems entering Thailand, they could insist on treating you as a British national which would require visa on entry.

Best to book the ticket using Thai nationality to avoid any nonsense at Thai immigration.

not really. Thailand doesn't care how you booked your ticket. They only care which passport you use to enter the country
